Six Senses has teamed up with The Canyon Group to develop a resort in Papagayo, Costa Rica. The Six Senses Papagayo will be located within the 2,300-acre Papagayo Peninsula on a site that stretches from the highest point, offering 360-degree panorama of the Guanacaste archipelago, to a forested beachfront dotted with 41 secluded pool villas.
34. Emirates Launches Flights to Porto, Portugal
Emirates has launched four flights per week to Porto, its second destination in Portugal. Emirates will operate the route with Boeing 777-200LR aircraft in a two class cabin configuration featuring Emirates’ newest Business Class and Economy Class seats and interiors. The aircraft has 38 lie flat seats in Business Class in a 2-2-2 configuration and 264 seats in Economy Class.

Accor has expanded its Novotel brand to the northern Thai city of Chiang Mai. The Novotel Chiang Mai Nimman Journeyhub houses 202 rooms and suites that offer guests a 55-inch smart TV, minibar, and a spacious bathroom which features a separate bathtub and shower. Select rooms also feature private balconies and garden access.
36. Etihad Airways Increases Capacity on Three Asian Routes
Etihad Airways has increased capacity on three Asian routes to accommodate the growing demand. Flights between Abu Dhabi and the two major two Chinese cities of Shanghai and Chengdu have been upgraded with Boeing 787 Dreamliners, while the South Korean city of Seoul has been boosted from a Boeing 787 to an Airbus A380.
37. Thai Airways Organises 15 Hajj Flights from Three Airports in Thailand
Thai Airways has arranged special flights for Muslims in Thailand to attend the Hajj Pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, with flights departing from Narathiwat, Suvarnabhumi and Krabi airports to Medina Airport in Saudi Arabia. Thai Airways has arranged 15 special round trip flights that will be able to accommodate approximately 4,325 pilgrims.
38. Singapore Airlines to Renovate Changi T3 Lounges
Singapore Airlines (SIA) is to invest more than SGD50 million in a major revamp of its SilverKris and KrisFlyer Gold Lounges at Changi Airport Terminal 3. Renovations are due to commence in August 2019 and are expected to be completed by mid-2021.
39. Swiss-Belhotel Rebrands Salak Tower Hotel in Bogor, West Java
Swiss-Belhotel has expanded its portfolio of hotels in Indonesia after rebranding the Salak Tower Hotel in Bogor, West Java. The 20-storey Swiss-Belhotel Bogor, located on Jalan Salak, features 150 rooms and suites. All rooms offer free Wi-Fi, interactive IPTV systems and 24-hour room service.
40. Emirates Resumes Flights to Khartoum, Sudan
Emirates will today resume flights to Khartoum, the capital of Sudan. The daily service between Dubai and Khartoum, will once again provide both business and leisure travellers in Sudan, global connectivity through the airline’s network, particularly to destinations in the Middle East, West Asia, United States and the Far East, with one flight connection at its Dubai hub.
