SpiceJet has ordered 42 Boeing 737 MAX 8s. The order is valued at $4.4 billion at list prices. With this announcement, SpiceJet has ordered 90 airplanes directly from Boeing, which includes the 737-800, 737-900ER and now the 737 MAX. To date, SpiceJet has taken delivery of 31 of the airplanes.
67. Qantas to Codeshare with Bangkok Airways
Qantas has signed a codeshare agreement with Bangkok Airways which will improve travel options for Qantas customers travelling to Thailand. From 30 March 2014, Qantas customers will be able to book on Bangkok Airways services from Bangkok and Singapore to six new destinations in Thailand, including Koh Samui, Chiang Mai and Phuket.

Japan’s third largest airline, Skymark Airlines, has taken delivery of the first two Airbus A330-300s out of a total of ten on lease.
