Pansea Puri Bali HotelPansea Puri Bali a perfect tropical hideaway
If there is a hotel in Bali that qualifies as a romantic hideaway, it's the new Pansea Puri Bali. Located far from the madding crowd at the extreme south-western tip of Indonesia's paradise island, Pansea Puri Bali enjoys a unique setting and atmosphere. It is well appointed on a serene stretch of shimmering beach, in the gently curving Jimbaran Bay facing the sparkling Indian Ocean. The absence of coral reef and breaking surf makes for a calm (yet very strong at times-ed) crystal clear sea that is ideal for swimming. A leisurely stroll away on the beach leads to a small village where bright sails and hulls of outrigger canoes add a touch of colour to the atmosphere. If you are awake at first light, you can watch daily Balinese village life unfold as the fishermen return from a night out at sea with their harvest. In the evening lie back on Pansea Puri Bali's golden sands and watch Jimbaran Bay's splendid sunsets that only the Indian Ocean is able to provide. Pansea Puri Bali comprises of 41 thatched-roof cottages, of which one caters to families, designed in a traditional Balinese-style architecture. Stepping into a cottage is a retreat into a world of your own, as each cottage, hidden behind private walls, encloses a landscaped courtyard with a dining pavilion - the perfect place for a romantic dinner for two under the stars. The spacious bedroom in the cottage opens out to a verandah where you can relax in a wooden armchair, comfort and privacy shielded discreetly from neighboring cottages by bamboo screen. Each air-conditioned cottage is furnished in typical Balinese decor, using plenty of hardwoods and textiles. There is a king size bed, a sofa bed, television, ceiling fan, mini bar, personal safe and IDD telephone. A sunken bathroom which leads to an outdoor shower in the garden adds to a touch of luxury not to forget excitement of an unforgettable holiday. Two restaurants cater to your dining pleasure. The main restaurant, Tanjung Cafe, overlooking a landscaped loutus pond, serves breakfast buffet in the morning and Indonesian cuisine and Balinese favourites in the evening. Every week there is also a performance of Balinese traditional dance and music. The beachside Nelayan restaurant specializes in fish and seafood. Pansea Puri Bali may be a resort hideaway but it also offers a variety of activities: swimming pool including a children's pool, nautical sports, beach games, board games and a library. For those that prefer to explore Bali, car, and jeep hire, with or without driver is also available.
High Season surcharge (US$ 35 to be added to above rates) applies per cottage per night during 15 July - 31 August and 24 December to 05 January. |
