IMPORTANT NOTE: All International Flights and some domestic flights leave from the new Suvarnabhumi Airport. The official and only International Airport hotel is the Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel. There are some domestic flights however that still fly from the old Don Muang Airport which is where this Amari is located.

Considering the important note above it should be noted that the below review/information was only valid while the old Don Muang Airport was still fully commercial.

For stopovers, transits or the first and last nights of a holiday or business trip, the Amari Airport Hotel is ideal. Connected by an air-conditioned walkway to the International Airport, there is also a railway station and expressway right on the doorstep. The hotel is a heaven of comfort and efficiency with a delightful Thai ambience of warmth and hospitality.

The warmly decorated superior and deluxe guest rooms feature blackout curtains and excellent soundproofing. Women travelling alone enjoy the privacy of their own floor. business travellers appreciate the luxurious rooms with their own private terrace, writing desk and connections for fax and PC, including broadband internet access. Breakfast and evening cocktails are served in the plush surroundings of the 24 hour Executive Lounge.

the hotel offers a range of different restaurants for guests to choose from. Le bel Air, known for its excellent seafood and steaks, has an elegant interior. Kinaree specialises in Thai cuisine while the stylish Mizuho serves a range of Japanese dishes. the airy Zeppelin Coffee Shop offers a wide range of local and international cuisine and in Henry J. Bean's Bar and Grill you will find great American favourites like ribs, burgers and steaks. The Cockpit Lounge lets you relax with some music and a drink, while the Library is an oasis of calm.

On the ground floor a professionally staffed Business Centre operates around the clock offering fax and full secretarial services. Computers are available for e-mail and broadband Internet access. the hotel has several options to ease the stress of travel. You can work out in the fitness centre, unwind with a sauna, or enjoy a soothing massage. Alternatively soak up the sun, while relaxing beside the swimming pool amid the greenery of the central courtyard.

The Don Muang Ballroom is as versatile as it is spacious. 1,000 people can comfortably be accommodated at a cocktail reception and up to 600 at a banquet or wedding. For smaller functions, soundproofed sliding walls split the area into separate rooms, one of which can be further sub-divided into 4 meeting rooms. There's also a Boardroom on the second floor for executive meetings.
