SEDONA HOTEL YANGON IS OFFICIAL VENUE FOR PATA MEKONG TOURISM FORUM 4 - 6 April 2002

Sedona Hotel Yangon is chosen as the official venue for the Seventh PATA Mekong Tourism Forum. Themed "Bridging the Mekong, Branding the Jewels", the forum will be held in Yangon, Myanmar from 4 to 6 April 2002.

Aimed to raise awareness of the Six Jewels of the Mekong (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Yunnan) and to address tourism issues in this region, the Mekong Tourism Forum will attract members of the National Tourism Organisations, hospitality and travel experts, government officials, investors and media representatives.

Said Mr Bodo Becker, General Manager of Sedona Hotel Yangon, "This is the first time that the PATA Mekong Tourism Forum is held in Myanmar and Sedona Hotel Yangon is honored to be chosen as the official hotel to host the forum and the delegates. We look forward to this opportunity to work with PATA and to showcase the cultural and ethnic wonders that the Mekong region has to offer."

Sedona Hotel Yangon sits majestically on eight acres of beautifully landscaped garden and faces the serene Inya Lake. The deluxe five-star hotel features 366 tastefully decorated rooms and suites within impressive Myanmar-inspired architecture. A short 15-minute drive away from the international airport and bustling city centre, the hotel also offers business travellers Executive Club rooms for added comfort, privacy and personal service. Extensive meeting and convention facilities are available, including a classic boardroom and a resplendent Grand Ballroom. The range of recreational options include a freeform swimming pool, fitness centre, tennis courts, sauna, jacuzzi, a mini golf driving bay and putting green.
