The Grand Formosa Regent Taipei is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Rudi Scherb, CHA as General Manager.
A Veteran and Certified Hotel Administrator in the Hotel industry with over 16 years experience in General Managment in 5 Star Hotels, Scherb now leads the team at the Grand Formosa Regent Taipei.
Recently GM. at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers in Bangkok, and specialized in either opening new or revitalizing existing Hotels Scherb was head of a property voted "Hotel of the year for ITT/Sheraton Asia Pacific" in the late 80`s .
Having worked in over 10 countries, covering 4 continents from Europe, to America, NewZealand, to the Pacific, having worked many years in Asia, Scherb is very familiar with different cultures and is happily joining a professional team at the Grand Formosa Regent Taipei.
His recent appointments were repositioning and refurbishing 5 star deluxe Hotels in Bangkok , Singapore and Fiji, that have become benchmark properties within the industry.
He is known to have contributed towards increased operating profits and shareholder's assets by a substantial amount, while having the reputation of establishing cordial and professional relationships with both his clientele and
staff.
Scherb intends to further enhance service at the Grand Formosa Regent Hotel, implementing innovative training, education and career development programs for his entire
team, all 800 of them.
"The year 2002 marks the Hotels 12th anniversary , and it is now time to revisit what we do best and review how we do
it…Time to focus on the changing desires, needs and expectations of our internal and external guests". Scherb sees his mission for the Hotel in 2002 to focus on improving the 'total customer experience'. He intends to refine the Grand Formosa Regent Hotel's facilities and services, in order to secure its position as the finest and most reputable Business Hotel in Taiwan.
